Anyone had any luck with the MAF mod?

Like the title says... Anyone had any luck with the MAF mod done on a 4.0L SOHC? I was looking around at John's cardomain and was thinking about doing this, but wanted to know if anyone has had any luck or problems with it and if there was a gain, or what..

big warning saying 4.0's dont like it that much, no harm to try as long as your have a spare to fall back on, im going to go to the junkyard and try and pocket one and give it a whirl, maybe tommorrow will be a good day for that

I tried it on my 2003 4.0 SOHC a few years ago. Didn't notice a significant power increase but the idle quality went to hell, so I returned it to stock. Be forewarned - you'll need another MAF sensor in order to go back because the mod to the sensor is not reversible.

Some with 3.0's have reported better results.

I have 3.0 MAFs new if anyone wants one.

You should rescale your maf table if you do this.
