Anything that will work on a 2004 should work on your 08. I don't think any changes were made other than cosmetic stuff and the seats.

I thought they moved the MAF around 2004-05?

Let me know if i am wrong, but the 08 V6 Mustang has the same engine as the 08V6 Ranger correct? both 4.0SOHC?? if i am correct, then just buy parts that are for the mustang engine and put them on your ranger..

again let me know if i am wrong..

What's a CDI??? In '04, ford changed the MAF(mass air flow sensor) location to IN the tube, rather than in it's own housing. So intake kits for a '03 will not fit a '04+.

Headers for any 01+ 4.0L ranger will work, JBA makes those, and supposedly Doug Thorley makes them as well. Need to check out if your have an EGR system and what side it is on. On my '01, I have a driver side EGR pipe. In '03 they got rid of the EGR system....after that, i have no clue.

Exhaust kits are all the same from 98-current. I'd suggest having one custom bent at an exhaust shop.....That way they could do it exactly how you want it. Usually ends up being cheaper that way, rather than getting a gibson, magnaflow, etc....

Chip.......are you talking about a chip or a tuner?? ALOT of people get a tuner for their added convience as doubling as a scan tool AND modify engine tunes. The most common is a Superchips Xcal2. They are programed specificially for your vehicle via VIN, with a choice of 3 different tunes.

The redesigned '05 Stang got the 4.0L SOHC....virtually the exact same engine......but....different intake tube(believe it's on the opposite side compaired to a ranger), different intake manifold, different factory tune. The aftermarket for our 4.0L's got a HUGE boost by ford putting it in the Mustang....folks are making heads, cams, and better performance parts in general.
