My truck hasn't let me down engine wise. 129K and still running strong. It doesn't burn oil but it sure leaks it from the front crank seal. The slave cylinder has gone out 3 times in the 4 years I have owned it. Its all this nickel and dime crap that it needs all the time that really bugs me.

That Fx4 DOESNT have the torsen, it has the trac-loc. Only the LII's have the Torsen.

I have a 96 ranger that's 5 speed and I love it, its nice and strong and even runs for a few days without fluid . I planned to pretty much do a shift kit as my first mod if I get an automatic. I don't like them but if they are strong and won't screw up on me I'll consider it. (My fear is that I'll have to deal with this just like I am with my GTP now, trading it in to get rid of it lol). I will be using it, I will be having fun with it and won't always be grandpaing it. Any concerns and things I should look for in these trucks?
poor gtp lol
i beat the **** outta mine and the tranny is still like new. has 106k miles too

but i have no problems with the auto in my 07. with a tune, it shifts nice and firm too.

yeah and my GTP only has 80,000 on it.

Alright as long as its not an open diff I'm good with the FX4. The only thing is that it has 40,000 on it instead of 20,000. Is that a big difference?

Well I hate to end this tread but its done, they want $500/month for 5 years. I'm sorry but thats way to rich for me considering its not new and for that money I can build both my GTP and Ranger to what I want in less than a year for that. So I'll be sticking with the GTP and just bringing it to the shop and see what we can do there. Then I'll be working on the rangers front end and the GTP's modifications will be put on hold until I get that thin up to snuff. I've neglected it for far to long, including this forum.
