07 radiator questions

So my radiator has a crack so obviously that needs to be replaced, is there anything else I should replace as a preventative maintenance or just replacing my radiator and adding coolant good enough?

Assuming these items are 2007 FactoryOE & have never been replaced\serviced:
~ Fully drain coolant system
~ Replace old 1CorePlasticTankedRadiator+Cap with new 2\3\4CoreAllAluminumRadiator+Cap
~ Replace Coolant Pump+Fan+FanClutch+Belt; blow\flush old coolant from Engine+HeaterCore
~ Replace old PlasticThermoStatHousing with new AluminumThermoStatHousing; replace ThermoStatValve
When ThermoStatHousing is removed, it's a convenient time to replace Left+Right OilPressurized TimingTensioners.
~ Replace\Clean PCVValve on back end of LeftValveCover
~ Delete PCVValveCoolantOxbow & PCVCoolantHoses+PipeTees that are parallel with HeaterCoolantHoses
~ Replace all other Coolant Hoses+HeaterControlValve+Clamps; reverse HeaterCore Inlet\Outlet flow\hoses
~ Refill+Burp Coolant system with new 50/50 Mix
Hope this helps. More info at

Decades ago in Popular Mechanics Smokey Yunik (car guy) told a reader with a bad brake line, "Your car is old so don't patch. Replace it all".
This is an example of that.

Q: The PCV valve heater is not needed? How 'bout in Alaska or Siberia?

The PCVCoolantLoop is a RubeGoldberg design, considering the coolant warms up after the engine block warms up & it only runs when the heater valve is manually opened; in Alaska, Canada, Greenland, Siberia, Antarctica it may be worth keeping, but for 99% of us it's not, only a useless source of leaks. There's a reason later engine design went to electric PCV warmers.
