Ranger running lean. Need help!!!
Okay. First off. Ive been searching the forums for weeks now and doing everything I read and learned.
I bought the truck running this way. Its a 93 ranger 3.0. 2 wheel drive five speed. Was way under power. Rough idle and running VERY lean on all cylinders.
So far Ive replaced
Cap and rotor.
Plugs and plug wires.
Coil
Air filter
Fuel filter
Maf sensor
O2 sensors
Ive cleand the Iac valve and checked the pcv valve. And ive checked numerous times for any vacuum leaks.
The timing was also retarded 10 degrees. Put the timing back at 10 degress btdc and this made the biggest diffence then anything else power wise...
But still after all that. It has a slight miss and rough idle and really lean. And struggles under a load. Pings at times and has a slight run on when shut off.
Could it be my fuel pressure regulator? I pulled the vacuum line and drove it and there wasnt any difference. Is this normal?
Thanks for any help.
Oh. And its not throwing any codes!!
Thanks again
Nik
