I noticed that the PCV valve hose is collapsed when the engine is running so its like flat pinched together. I know its a vacuum line but is it supposed to do that??
A good auto store should stock bulk (Goodyear) 3/8 fuel/emissions hose.
It is thick enough to withstand collapsing on vacuum.
Cost $1.40 vs. $80? at dealer.
Isn't that part of the whole PCV assembly?
Just go to your parts store and ask them, there computer will tell you which hose will fit if it isn't part of the assembly.
This has come up a few times on here before. The only real option is going to be to go to Ford and buy it, they sell one that is updated and has ribbing to reinforce it.
