Need advice for new fuel injectors
For context I have the 2006 3.0 V6 ranger XLT and have had a CEL for P0171 and P0174 since I got the truck 2 months ago…
I tried replacing all spark plugs and wires, new MAF sensor, new fuel filter, checked for leaks in vacuums and cleaned all sensors that could be causing this problem.
Now I’m assuming that it’s the fuel injectors, and it definitely makes sense since the truck actually sat for 5 years before I got it and wasn’t drained of gas(and never was)
ive read that I should stick to motor craft injectors and not to even bother with 3rd party companies for this.
Was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for replacing all 6 injectors. Should I do it myself and YouTube mechanic the job or pay for a REAL mechanic to replace them for me?
heard that the job can be a difficult one and being 18 don’t really wanna mess up the truck…
appreciate any feedback, thanks!
EDIT: I did not clean the O2 sensors I replaced all of them!

Thanks for the responses
The truck does run and has been refueled.
the idle is kinda rough but better since the new spark plugs (right now it sits around 1050 rpms)
never heard of that cleaner before, I’ll look into it! Definitely would be worth it to try it since new injectors are pretty expensive.
I’ll update you when I try the cleaner! Thanks!

Read the thread below. Same codes, same engine, etc.

Ill do some more research on it, definetly could be a factor considering the truck sat for so long
