Name that hose!!!

Hey guys,

I have a hose (but its made of metal) leading from right next to where I fill my oil up at to about half way up my air intake hose that leads to my throttle body. What the heck is this thing? I assume it is some sort of vent system? Anyway, There doesn't seem to be a great seal, something to worry about? When I disconnect it, it runs the exact same. I tried to make a half *** diagram

PCV closure tube. Yes, it needs an airtight seal.

It is the unlabeled blue hose/tube in the diagram.

The PCV valve is not in the hose that you asked about. It is in the other one that is shown as green in the diagram. Exact location of the PCV valve depends on what year and engine you have.
