Just wanted to update on this hose.I was looking fo a replacement hose a week or so ago and could not find a decent replacement.So my truck had to go in for sevice so I asked my mechanic to get one.
Even he had a tough time.Ended up getting one that is not the exact,but I think is actually better because it is a hard plastic tube not a soft rubber.
My knocking is completly gone,and power is unbelieveable(for 3.0).
I hoe this may help some people,symtoms are when you first start truck power is good with no knocking.After a while driving knocking starts and gets worse.You may have tried plugs and stuff-prblem won't go away.
Watch the pcv hose-after a while you wil notice the hose collapse from your engine vacuum which I guess starves the engine from some intake air.Also the oil that goes back through the pcv will back up.
My engine has over 170k and it now runs and feels like its brand new.

 

My 3.0 only seems to knock when its warmer out (above 65) and with the A/C on. And it does do that low power thing too. But I'll have to try that. It's usually just the simplest things...

 

True. I can't believe a 10 dollar hose made such a drastic difference.I also think it took care of the flickering oil gage.I"ll keep an eye on this.
