I've had it with power steering leaks
Anyone ever replaced 92' Ranger 2.9 V6 power steering with manual steering?
I've just about had it with this power steering. I just replaced power steering pump/reservoir, fluid lines. And it is leaking badly. The entire reservoir drained on the way to work.
Poor design and tired of dealing with the leaks over the years. I have to see if the steering gear is leaking now. I'd rather wrestle the steering wheel than deal with this.
How can I switch over to manual steering?

I was able to close the leak about 95%. I gently bolted in the pressure hose fitting snugly till it stopped. I might tighten the fitting nut a little more. But when you start messing with it, the leak tends to re-open.
It's a poor design anyway. But I have completely operational power steering. I am thankful for that. So maybe I should leave it alone. We can close out this inquiry unless anyone wants to add anything
