Icon5 Help Here; question with a serious EGR valve problem.

Hi everybody i just scan my Ford Ranger Splash 1995 3.0L V6 and the result was code P0401.
This code refers to EGR valve in which a found a serious problem
I remove the valve and i found water accumulated:

i can explain what happened., last time a couple of months ago we remove the intake plenum for the reason of check one injector and i approach to clean the plenum so i remove many of the assembly parts for clean and i use a water pressure after use degreaser and put in a Sun all day i assembly again and this happened...
But now this is the problem when the EGR valve was removed and begin to clean the cavity i found that is clogged because i use brake parts cleaner to remove this water/oil deposits and take a look at the picture below:

...i use all the entire brake parts cleaner can trying to unclog this cavity and is basically impossible i also use a wire inside the cavity and nothing happened i use gasoline (is what you see in the picture) and for hours and hours this hole keeps full of gasoline
so my question is where is supposed to go this cavity ,and is open or close?
Any help will be appreciate
THANX

Never investigated the EGR passage in the upper intake of a 3.0l Vulcan engine, but YES, it should be connected, have an open passage, to the air chamber so exhaust gases can be mixed with incoming air, or no point in having an EGR system

All exhaust has water vapor in it, thats why tail pipes drip water and why exhaust systems rust from the inside out
Also why DPFE sensors fail, they get moisture in the pressure chambers

Well that would explain why you can get wire thru

"They" do make flexible drill bits that can get most of that out

You want to use masonry type drill bits they won't hurt the intake metal

Or shop for used intake, hopefully CLEAN, lol

Brakleen and gasoline didn't work so try other cleaners like Purple Power for the overnight soak.
Take that manifold to a machine shop and have 'em glass bead it. Shoot right down the hole.
Maybe bring it to a transmission shop and throw it into their tank overnight?

I do overnight soaking with gasoline and today in the morning at last i remove this carbon deposit .I use a hard wire that i smash one side with a hammer and creating a sharp point i begin to push and push and moving from one side to another until in a couple of minutes the blockage break in pieces and now is free.
Thanks everybody for the help
