Aight so about two or three days ago when I am accellerating from a stop or slow speed there is a clicking sound that goes faster as I speed up. It sounds like a grinding and clicking noise. It goes away when I push the clutch in or when I press the brake hard and does not occur at idle. I have 80,000 miles on my truck...have stuck it in the mud enough times to wear on the clutch. I also do some towing sometimes close to the weight limit...so I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on whether it is the Clutch or possibly the Differential. thanks yall

HAPPY BIRTHDAY D!!!

Sounds like your flywheel might need resurfacing. Just a guess though.

transmission

i had this on my automatic ford ranger..

whenever i wud slow down or accelerate i wud get this grinding sound.
eventually it got so bad that it would grind and the gas pedal wud vibrate intensively.
i went to my trusty mechanic where he found out my problem was the transmission........ since den everything a ok..

after a while if your gears are shifting really slowly and ur car stays in neutral instead of going into gear.. u know you have the same problem as me.
hope i could help
