I have a 1992 2.3L lima engine and its pretty much shot. I need a new motor but am not made of money to buy a new one. If anyone can guide me to a company or person that has a motor for a good price, it would be much appreciated. I’m in desperate need.

 

Check at the Mustang Forums
For a 1992 you need a Ranger 1989-1994 2.3l Lima as a replacement, or 1991-1993 Mustang
Far more of these engines were used in Mustangs than in Rangers in these years

Can't use 1995-1997 2.3ls

Also check at car-part.com

That site can check local wrecking yards for used parts, including whole engines
Maybe you will get lucky

Problem is they haven't made this engine for a long while, and most will be pretty high milers, but you may find one that was rebuilt and then vehicle was crashed
And people do still like these engines so...................they can be hard to find in reasonable condition
