Transmission not going into gear

Can you shift into all gears with engine off?
If not then transmission was not in NEUTRAL when shifter was reinstalled, need to pull out shifter and use a screwdriver to center all 3 shift forks(neutral) then reinstall shifter
In this picture you can see 2 of the 3 slots in the shifter forks: https://www.therangerstation.com/Mag...rbushings7.jpg
The 3 must be aligned in the center of opening, and thats Neutral, truck should roll, then you can install the shifter
If you are in gear and try to start the engine does truck try to jump forward?
If so then there is AIR in the clutch system and you need to bleed it
Make sure reservoir is full
Open bleeder on Slave, and put a pan down
Let fluid run out for a minute or two, that should clear "most of the air"
Close bleeder and pump the clutch pedal a few times, see if it feels OK
Then try starting in gear

Clutch safety switch is just for electric systems, nothing that would interfere with clutch hydraulic system
"Thumping noise" does not ring any bells
Please answer the two questions
Can you shift into all gears with engine off?
Can you start engine when its in gear, or does vehicle try to move when starter activates?

And while its in gear with engine running and clutch pedal down, do you have to hold your foot on the brake to keep it from moving?
That would indicate the slave is not being pushed out far enough to release Clutch disc, so air in the slave or Master
Could be a bad Pilot Bearing as well but that should make a squealing noise, with clutch pedal down and engine running in gear
