Struggling big time

I have a 98 2.5l 4cyl ranger. Where do I begin...
It has a misfire and engine stumble. If I'm going up hill and trying to gain speed it stumbles the worst.
My engine revs up to around 3 grand on startup and hold it for anywhere from 3-8 seconds.
It has a check engine light but only one code, camshaft sensor.
I have replaced said sensor twice with two different brands (OEM and motocraft)
Have replaced all spark plugs related things
Have replaced IACv, TPS, MAF, PCV (definitely needed the grommet was dry rotted), have done a compression test (all around 150 psi) have checked timing, and that's about it.
I have started to think fuel is the issue but I do not know. I changed my fuel filter and that's as far as I've had time to do recently.

I've checked other forums and asked as many mechanics around my location if they knew what was going on, apparently no one in the history of rangers has had this problem.
Please help. I beg lol
