Sourcing 2004 fuel lines
Hello all, first post.
Im having trouble sourcing a fuel line assembly for my 2004 XLT 2.3 regular cab 112" wheelbase. My mechanic tells me that the current fuel lines have a blown fitting near the fuel pump (like a hard connection/o-ring?) that one cannot repair or replace. He mentions that the whole assembly needs to be replaced. The problem we are running into is that it seems 2004 was a one year off part for fuel lines and everywhere we've looked has been discontinued. Ive searched quite a few pages of google results to try to source the part and no luck. The part number Im referencing to is 4L5Z-9G291-AA. Has this part number been superseded?
Other options? Could I find lines for the longer wheelbase models and have them still fit, just being a bit loose and need tied up? Are there other year models that could work?
Any help is appreciated.

Welcome to the forum
No, you won't find a new replacement part, wrecking yard would be only place to find replacement
Dorman makes repair parts for Ford fuel lines
Rangers use 5/16" nylon fuel lines, in all years
They usually use a 3/8" connector on fuel tank in 2004, some straight others 90deg
You can get the connector with a few feet of fuel line attached and then splice it to existing fuel line, or get a coil of 5/16" fuel line and two connectors to make a new fuel line from tank to fuel filter
Process is to heat up the nylon using heat gun until it softens, then insert the splice, the nylon will expand, after it cools it clamps tight, no hose clamps needed

There are a few videos and how-tos out there
