Please help with a vacuum hoes on 2.3
Hello my grandma‘s truck had a Intake Manifold Gasket that went bad. Fixed it however when I was putting everything back together I couldn’t find where the vacuum connected to.
Vacuum hoes starts here
This small hoes I’m touching
I have looked everywhere on the side and I can’t figure out where it plugs into please help

Max, that's too small for the brake booster and you can clearly see in one of his photos that the brake booster is connected and much thicker.
The one in the OP's hand is quite thin, maybe for the egr valve (a big guess on my part since I'm not familiar at all with the 2.3)
But I do know it's not for the brake booster.
Ivan, assuming the vacuum line sticker is still in tact just above the rad.
It should tell you there.
There will be a large vacuum port off the upper intake manifold, that's divided into many lines.
they supply vacuum to the dashes' interior, the EGR valve, EVAP valve, fuel dampener (if fitted) and EGR solenoid.
Just going by my 3 litre, but I'm assuming that its similar.

Alright, sorry i couldn't find exactly this, and mine is a V6, but i did find the hose (i think)
Now i looked at your pics again, i can go and trace it exactly if needed (let me know)
I believe this either connects to the TPS area or most likely what i believe is the FPR which is in the middle of my V, not sure where it is on the i4, but here's a pic of it.

I "think" this connects to another small plastic hose that runs in front of your master brake cylinder and over to your EGR vacuum regulator solenoid (EVR) which I believe is mounted on the drivers side fender.
At lunch time I'll run outside and double check on mine if you still need this info.
Here's a pic of my engine bay. I outlined it in yellow. Hopefully this helps.
