oh no, another thread on gas mileage
I know, I know, not another one but this one has a point.
If i get the job im trying for then Ill have to drive my truck alot so Im wondering, what can I do to squeeze as many MPG that I can out of the wannabe.
Im in need of a muffler of some type as I dont have one at the moment, and some new tires, after that what do you guys recommend I do or try?

The best way to improve MPG is by changing your driving habits. Don't go over 65, don't accelerate going downhill, no hard launches, keep the RPM low, etc. Tips to improve your Gas Mileage

cool, thanks guys. I try to stay at 55 when the speed limit is that speed, I played around with speed when driving to work before and found that time vs. money saved was of pretty good difference so I started leaving earlier and going slower. It was hard not to go 60-65 coming home thou, thats why I wish I had cruise.
I used to have a glasspack on there too but I removed it to use on my F150 and havent replaced it yet.
Would by-passing the AC compressor make a difference? I really dont use my AC at all.

As for tires , the skinnier the better .
If you now have wide mudders , get'em off .What size are you running now ?
Also you may be able to go up on the sidewall size , ie; a P235r70.15 , go to a p235r75 or 80.15. This will increase the rolling radius a very small amount , but over time the gains will help.
And keep the tire pressures up around 34-36 for stock.
