New Ranger Owner:Tire/Rim question
Hey Folks,
I just bought a "brand new" '97 Ranger XLT 2wd (4cyl). It had only 49k on it, and it was priced perfect for a third vehicle so I picked it up. Pun intended.
Anyway, tires need to be replaced. I've done some searching already but am coming up dry with no answers or at least none I can understand.
It currently has 225/70's on the 15" upgrade alloy rims on it, and I was wondering what my options are for tire sizes. If possible, I'd like to put a little more height on there without using a lift kit.
Since I'm new to the truck thing, I'm not accustomed to searching for tires using standard measures (e.g., 35"x12", etc) but rather the conventional passenger vehicle meas'nts (e.g. 225/70r15, etc.) So go easy on me!
Help?
Thanks Guys!
Mo
