I redid my clutch this winter and it dont remember using more than two quarts. Any particular reason they use ATF in a manual?

ooops, I think I put about four in mine, but I didn't open the fill hole. So I probably still have all four. Any thoughts on whether that's bad at all for the tranny??

I found the spec from the owner's manual:

Manual Transmission for 2.3L > 2.80 qtrs or 2.65 Liters
