Fuel Filter Leak- Safe to drive?

Hey good folks!
I have discovered that I have a leaky fuel filter on my 2007 2.3 ford ranger. It sits on the inside of the frame under drivers door, just forward of the tank. It's not gushing at all, but I do see fuel on the frame, but none on the lines. Is it safe to drive this 11 miles to mechanic, or should i have it towed? I know it's an easy fix, but without having a lift, I don't want to lay under that to fix it- who wants gas in their face!?
Thanks!

Yes, its fine to drive that way just do NOT drive over any open flames
And you could squirt off the area with a garden hose if available
