Welcome to the forum
2.5l SOHC Lima engine I assume
Flashing CEL when driving means a misfire is occurring at that moment, usually happens when accelerating, it also means BACKOFF the gas pedal at that moment
You have dual spark plugs in each cylinder for better performance, but this engine can run on just one spark plug per cylinder, and did so from 1974 to 1988
So try this test, its better with warm engine but can be done with cold engine
Engine off
Unplug the 3 wire connector on 1 coil pack
Start engine
See if there is a steady misfire, which means a spark plug or wire is not working on the plugged in coil pack
Then repeat test for other coil pack
Engine should run OK on one coil pack, no misfires, it will have slightly less power
If engine barely runs on one of the coil packs then one of the coils in that coil pack may be bad, look for cracks in it, you can test coil packs with an OHM meter
There are only TWO coils inside one coil pack, each coil sparks 2 spark plugs at the same time, its called Waste Spark system, first spark system ever invented
1/4 fire at the same time
2/3 fire at the same time
So the spark plug wire placement on each coil pack is important, double and triple check that
Have you or can you get the CODES from the computer, that may be helpful
Misfires(flashing CEL) can be lack of fuel under load(driving), dirty fuel filter or failing fuel pump
