2023 2.3L with connector with clipped wire

2023 2.3L Ranger. Only 6,000 miles. Noticed one of the connectors on the driver side near the battery has a wire coming out that’s clipped off. Vehicle drives fine and no check engine light or codes. I assume this is done from the factory but just curious.

Without physically seeing it, My guess is it's not a wire but a plastic plug, to plug the hole to keep water out of the connector.

Thanks. I’m going to try and get a better look with a mirror under it or just unplug the connector for a really good look.
