2011 2.3L Intake Manifold Runner Valve Vac Line Locations

I’m looking for the location of the intake manifold runner valve vacuum line on my 2011 Ranger 2.3L. I don’t seem to see it on the bottom of the intake between cylinders 2 and 3 like most of the pictures I’ve seen.

Only the 2001-2003 2.3l Duratec engine had IMRC, it was deleted in 2004 along with the heated thermostat, be glad you don't have either, lol

Thanks. Interesting that my engine has the same symptoms as one with a bad valve or runners. (Loud clicking and tapping).

Try using "Mazda L 2.3l" + symptom for google searches

The Ford 2.3l Duratec is a Mazda L engine, seen here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mazda_L_engine
Scroll down to the 2.3L (L3-VE,L3-NS,L3-DE) section and specifically the 23NS

Ford added the IMRC and heated thermostat, don't think Mazda ever used those in their cars, but did in the B-series(2001-2003), which is basically a Ranger with Mazda badges

Ford injectors can make a louder ticking noise as well
