Selling my 00 Ranger. It is a 4 cylinder with a 5 speed manual. It has 166+k miles, im still driving the truck to prevent it from sitting. It is far from perfect, however it is a good running truck, i would not sell it if it was a piece of junk. I dont sale cars very often, and when i do i prefer the buyer know everything that is wrong, or potentially wrong with it. A/c works in it, and the radio sounds awesome despite not having a sub or amplifiers, its an all pioneer system. The bad things i will list now..
THE BAD
-4th gear synchros grind at times, it has done this for years, it doesnt do it every shift, i am confident they will continue to work as they should for many more years, it has yet to get worse. (brother "discovered" clutch-less shifting for a bit before i informed him that the clutch is there for a reason...)
-It could definitely use new, or better tires, the rear ones are almost bald, no treads showing yet but it wont be too much longer. The front driver spare(full sized) is currently being used, it has a shimmy at about 65mph but it goes away at 70. It has aftermarket wheels, i have the 4th sitting in the bed at the moment, i would get used tires but i exhausted my funds i allotted for the truck.
-It needs an oil change, i spent all my money on the other stuff, like new plugs and plug wires(all 8 have been changed, both plugs and wires)
-Sometimes it has a rough start in the morning, but when it warms up she purrs like shes supposed to.
-Has a universal buckle reciever, it catches the shoulder belt, but i cannot guarantee its crash worthiness, i really wanted to install the right one, but its a dealer only item here it seems, and i simply do not have the money at this time for it.
THE GOOD
-It has just recieved a full set of plugs and plug wires, thats including the pita ones under the intake manifold.
-New battery and battery cables
-Clutch is only 2 years old, as well as pressure plate, thrust bearing etc
-Fuel pump is also about 2 years old.
-The body is in excellent shape, the paint is in good shape, the clearcoat is peeling on the driver front fender, however it has cleaned up nice since i washed it.

Im selling this primarily because i am not a truck fan. I thought i was, but it seems i was wrong lol. Their is a lien on the truck, i would much rather sale it to someone local, so as we can just show up at the banks main office, pay the truck off and imediately sign the title over to the new owner. The price is firm, but money talks, if someone were to bring me something thats at least within a couple hundred dollars ill let the truck go.
