Seat mod or swap

I think it more depends on the Cab Type, std cab/ext cabe.
Most Explorer Seats that I have seem almost bolt to the Ext Cab Setups but the Std Cab has a longer mount.
Wiring is just two wires BLK - Ground and Blk/Wht - Power.
If the Seat has other options then there will be other wiring to do.
My Seats get tested before they come out of the donor vehicle.

Yeah, if you get explorer seats might as well just get the power ones. its two wires as scrambler said...i just did mine last week and its very easy. 1 wire going to the battery with a 30 amp inline fuse that goes back and split into two wires (1 per seat for power) then a ground which i just used the seat bolt...once you go power you'll never go back lol

I'm satisfied with how this turned out. Much better than no console and 60/40 seats.

Thanks for the compliments guys. My stepdad finally saw it today, and he asked me how much I paid for the seats. Lol. That's how good it looks. He thought I bought some buckets.
Yea, that's what the wally world console looks like in a Ranger. It works for me. It holds all my crap, which is really all I was going for.

looking for advice for a manual to electric seat swap on a 2008 Ford ranger FX4
I Have a 08 Ford ranger FX4 and I got a good deal on it but I think the seats are causing me pain. How can I where can I get some seats that are electric for it it is a 2008 Ford ranger FX4 extended cab suicide doors. The seats are a position up way too high and causing me pain in my back and in my groin area. I've already done a bunch of electrical wiring on it such as switches lights fuse block and so on. I know how to wire it. I have plans to wire it to my fuse block in the back. My only problem at this moment is trying to find a seat for the driver side that's compatible with my truck. I am billing to pay to have it shipped or no where I can get it in advance. I really don't want to pull it out of a junkyard truck. I if anyone knows what I can get one already pulled out or is willing to pull one out please let me know desperate at this point.

Then you may also have problems with the airbag sensors and the seatbelt pre-tensioners.

Seats also depend on the cab. Seats from an Explorer will generally bolt up to a 4DR extended cab Ranger, but you may have to enlarge the holes in the Explorer tracks. Explorer seats will NOT directly bolt in to a regular cab, and may not directly bolt into a 2DR extended cab, due to the tracks and the floor pans having different shapes.
