2.3 liter timing marks diagram
I haven't posted on here before now, but I thought I'd share this diagram I put together for anyone doing a rebuild on a 2.3 liter engine that might be a little confused (as I was) on where all the timing marks are, and how to align them properly.
This should help.

Thanks, I just got done changing the timing belt on my 92 Ranger, I thought I should let you know what I found out about your diagram.
The essential info in your diagram is correct and quite useful however a minor detail error may cause some people a bit of confusion, and no end of headache before they get it figured out. Due to the location of the sensor it is very hard to see the location of the timing mark on the crankshaft sprocket, therefor some may be tempted to use the location of the keyway as a guide to get it "close enough", and that would work except that you show the keyway pointed down when everything is correctly lined up. and that would put their crankshaft 180 degrees off, and they would be wondering what the heck the timing mark is suppose to look like because it isn't where it should be. The keyway should be pointing straight up in order to point the timing mark to the correct 29 1/2 degree alignment.
